About Slinky
Slinky is our forever-10-year-old brown tabby who adopted us at the beginning of the COVID pandemic in 2020. One day, she followed us home from our daily walks and never left.
​
She was a strong, resilient girl but had the sweetest personality and was always kind to every person she met. Toward the end of 2023, she was diagnosed with cancer and passed shortly after, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by our whole family. Because of her, we opened our home and our hearts to cats and have since adopted six cats since 2023. We fostered many neonatal kittens, got them into loving homes, and continue to advocate for humane and compassionate care for cats of all ages and life circumstances.

Slinky's Sanctuary regularly fundraises for and donates to Poi Dogs and Popoki, a local non-profit that aims to reduce the euthanasia rate of cats and dogs. If you'd like to directly support them and their mission, please visit their website poidogsandpopoki.org.
